Knock & Nash is one of the leading providers of screen acting training outside London, renowned for our hands-on approach and our team of BAFTA-winning professionals. As an active production house, we offer students the rare opportunity to train with industry experts who are working on real film and television productions. Our Foundation Screen Acting Online course runs for three terms each year, and the Spring Term begins W/C 13th January and ends W/C 10th March, with a week off for half-term. Each session is two hours long. This course is designed for beginners and those with some prior acting experience, providing you with the essential tools to build a strong foundation in screen acting. Taught via live Zoom sessions, the course offers an interactive and immersive learning experience. You’ll work with TV scripts currently in production or airing, gaining insights into how to approach and break down scenes in a professional context. The focus is on acting for the screen, and you’ll explore techniques that help you create authentic, engaging performances that resonate on camera. What makes this course special is the ability to train with an active production house. Our online students follow the same syllabus as those in our in-person classes, with the added flexibility of studying from anywhere. The course allows you to engage with peers and instructors in real time, creating a dynamic learning environment where you can ask questions, share experiences, and receive feedback. By the end of the term, you’ll have gained a deeper understanding of screen acting, equipping you with the skills to work confidently with camera and script.
