We are beyond thrilled to announce the tremendous success of our debut Edinburgh Fringe production, Pillock. Written and performed by Jordan Tweddle, and directed by Scott Le Crass, the show has garnered outstanding reviews, captivated audiences, and, to top it all off, won the prestigious ADHD Comedy Award from Neurodiverse Review. This is a huge milestone for us, and we’re so proud of everyone involved in bringing this remarkable show to life.
Pillock – A Journey of Chaos, Love, and Self-Discovery
Pillock follows the fast-paced, often chaotic journey of its title character, a man living with ADHD who is trying to make sense of his world. His mind races faster than his bowel after eating a Muller Corner (and, yes, he’s lactose intolerant). his life is a whirlwind of loneliness, hook-up culture, and awkward medical roleplays. Amidst all this, he’s searching for connection—and, most importantly, love.
When Pillock meets Eugene, it feels like his shot at the kind of love people run through airports for. But the question remains: is Eugene Mr. Right, Mr. Right Now, or even Mr. Wrong? As he tries to trust his gut, Pillock is faced with the harsh realities of his neurodivergent life, questioning everything from his relationships to his own self-worth. But this is no ordinary show—it’s a heart-pounding, laugh-out-loud exploration of what it’s like to live with ADHD, and the ways in which love, loneliness, and personal growth intersect.
A Show That Resonates with Audiences
One of the things that’s been so rewarding to see is the incredible response from audiences. Pillock has made an undeniable impact on those who’ve seen it. With its rapid-fire humour, relatable themes, and unexpectedly poignant moments, the show has struck a chord with people who both identify with the ADHD experience and those who simply want to understand it better.
Jordan Tweddle’s performance has been nothing short of electric. His energy on stage is boundless, and he brings an emotional range to the role that captures both the chaos and vulnerability of living with ADHD. His ability to flick between humour and heartfelt moments with such precision has been widely praised, and it’s no wonder that critics have called his performance "remarkable" and "fearless."
Under the direction of Scott Le Crass (who was recently shortlisted for The Stage Creative West End Debut award), the show has been crafted with precision and care, blending frantic energy with moments of stillness to create a truly unique theatrical experience. The choreography, tight pacing, and seamless transitions between comedy and drama reflect the unpredictable rhythms of ADHD itself.
The ADHD Comedy Award: A Huge Milestone
Winning the ADHD Comedy Award is an honour we don’t take lightly. The award, presented by Neurodiverse Review, celebrates shows that authentically represent the ADHD experience, and we are so proud that Pillock has been recognised for doing just that. This award isn’t just a recognition of the show—it’s a celebration of neurodivergent voices in the arts and the importance of telling diverse, authentic stories.
For Jordan Tweddle, the award is a testament to the personal journey that informed the creation of Pillock. "The show is less about ADHD as a condition, and more about my experience of living with it," he says. "It’s about the texture, the form, the rhythms of daily life—what it’s really like to live with ADHD in all its chaos and beauty." By centering his own lived experience, Jordan has created a show that resonates on a deeply personal level with those who live with ADHD, while also educating and entertaining those who may not be familiar with it.
Outstanding Reviews: Pillock Sets Itself Apart
The critical reception for Pillock has been overwhelmingly positive. Reviewers have praised the show for its boldness, sharp writing, and its ability to balance humour with emotional depth. One critic noted that the show "catches you off-guard, as soon as you settle into the dick jokes and rom-com references, it gives way to a devastating exploration of what it means to ‘be yourself’." This mixture of light and dark, funny and profound, is what has made Pillock stand out as one of the most exciting and innovative shows at the Fringe this year.
The set design, sound, and movement direction all play key roles in creating the immersive experience of Pillock. Kieran Sheehan’s movement direction ensures that the physicality of the show reflects the character’s frenetic energy, while Pierre Flasse’s subtle sound design enhances the emotional beats without overwhelming the performance. These elements, combined with Scott Le Crass’s sharp direction, have made Pillock a polished and professional production, even in the most unconventional of Fringe venues.
A Triumph for Neurodivergent Storytelling
At its core, Pillock is a show about identity, connection, and the experience of living with ADHD. But it’s also a show about humanity, love, and the messiness of life. It’s not just a comedy about neurodivergence—it’s a story about self-discovery, vulnerability, and finding connection in a world that can feel overwhelming.
As a production company, we are incredibly proud of the success of Pillock, and we want to thank everyone who has supported us along the way—our talented cast and creative team, the audiences who have embraced the show, and the critics who have championed it. This award is not just for us—it’s for every neurodivergent individual whose story deserves to be told, and for every artist whose voice is waiting to be heard.
What’s Next for Pillock?
