From Emmerdale to Your Class: Rachael Gill-Davis at Knock & Nash

At Knock & Nash, we’re proud to say our students learn from the very best – industry professionals who bring real-world experience straight into the classroom. And today, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news about one of our incredible tutors, Rachael Gill-Davis.

After an amazing run on ITV’s Emmerdale as the much-loved character Gail Loman, Rachael has wrapped filming and is already onto her next big challenge. But before that, we can’t wait to welcome her back to our studios to continue inspiring the next generation of actors!

Life in the Dales

Rachael first appeared on Emmerdale in 2019 for a short stint before returning as a full-time cast member in 2023. Over the past two years, viewers have loved following Gail’s journey – from being Ryan Stocks’ best friend, to their heartfelt storyline as parents who placed their son Oscar up for adoption, and finally Gail’s decision to start a new life in Devon.

When her final scenes aired, Rachael shared her gratitude:“Well… what a mad two years this has been. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shown love and support for the character over these past two years… It’s been a privilege to work with such a fantastic team.”

What’s Next for Rachael?

While we’ll all miss seeing her in the Dales, Rachael is stepping into an entirely new role – and it’s a big one! She’ll soon star as Joan of Arc in Saint Joan, George Bernard Shaw’s iconic play.

Speaking about the role, Rachael said:“I’m absolutely over-the-moon to take on such a great role. It is a lot of pressure as Judi Dench, and people like her, have played the role. It’s a major contrast from the comedy I’ve been playing on Emmerdale, and I’m excited to get stuck into something so powerful.”

We couldn’t be prouder of her! Rachael’s career is proof of what’s possible when passion, dedication, and talent combine.
